If you make updates, you should add a revision date and also put a change date beside the web page entry for that file. It would have better if the Q's were numbered so they could be referenced. Below I will use the number I counted for the 11/1/12 files. Ballot Information and Ballot Table FAQs ------ ----------- --- ------ ----- ---- Q#4: You should include a reference to manual page 29 (for the voter who decided not to vote). Common Help Table Training Questions ------ ---- ----- -------- --------- Q#8: The answer seems to indicate the official will call the Help Line twice for the misdirected voter scenario. Page 5 of the Help Table manual does not include the first call. It has the official redirect the voter and then later call the BOE to have them straighten out the official in the transfer-from precinct who had sent the voter to the wrong place. Voter Assistance and Equipment FAQs ----- ---------- --- --------- ---- Q#17 and Q#21: Can a curbside official also break into the line at the Help Table? I would think so. Q#23: You should probably mention, however, that the ballot box should be opened for emptying after every 500 ballots are entered, per manual page 32. That distinguishes opening the box to just straighten ballots vs. opening the box to remove all current ballots. FYI, I joggle the ballot box back and forth, plus side to side, every hour or so to help settle the ballots. Absentee Information and Miscellaneous FAQs -------- ----------- --- ------------- ---- Q#4: What is a "STAR assistant"? I haven't seen anything about this in manuals, class material, e-mails, etc. Q#8: "Voters who voted *after* the poll books were printed" should be "Voters who voted *before* the poll books were printed".
