* *** CHIEF_JUDGE_WORK TXT - 2 Sep 2017 13:47:51 - JKNAUTH Review draft documents from BOE (draft manuals, Quick Guides, etc.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Receive appointment letter Receive initial Chief Judge packet Communicate with initial list of precinct officials Contact replacement officials if (when) the list is later updated Coordinate with polling place contact Create support documentation as information becomes available - flow sheets, e.g., for curbside processing - polling place task notes - polling place layout diagrams - list of items to bring to polling place - ballot count reconciliation sheet - signs Take any required classes Review and comment on final documents Establish Monday setup time and record it via BOE website Communicate with precinct officials: schedules, assignments, education, etc. Communicate with coordinator Work with BOE personnel and precinct officials as items come up Do Saturday pickup Check material Do final notification of precinct officials Do Monday pickup Manage Monday setup (use the checklists) Get list of "late absentees" from BOE website (the "Last-Minute Absentee" list) Create hardcopy to use at Help Table and to post on wall Mark pollbooks with pink highlighter Manage Tuesday election (use the checklists) Deliver election material to BOE dropoff site Write notes to: Precinct officials and coordinator Polling place contact BOE people (if appropriate) Create draft of postmortem report Send draft to precinct officials and coordinator Incorporate their comments into final report Post final report and notify BOE about its existence Do any required followups Take Chief Judge survey
