RT Processing Card -- Non-primary

STEP 1:Find label. Voter confirms. Put on ATV.

> Ask voter for name -- start label search.

> Ask voter for address -- finish label search.

> Ask voter for party affiliation.

Read aloud this data FROM the found label.
Have the voter confirm this is THEIR label.
If voter's label is found, attach it to an ATV.

If label is not found, send voter to the Help Table. No ATV.

If wrong name, address, party on label, mark ATV boxes.

Mark ATV boxes if wrong name or address.

Ignore for now any ID , V , P , F , A, or T on the label.

Quick Guide

STEP 2: Ask voter for a photo ID. Verify it.

? Valid ID type and ID is "unexpired"?

? Voter "resembles" photo on ID?

? Name on ID "equivalent to" name on label?

If PID check fails, mark [ No ID ] and [ Photo ID ] boxes.
Send voter to Help Table with ATV. No signature or initials.

STEP 3: Process labeled ATV. (Exceptions?)

For F on the label, ask the voter to optionally fill out an
Election Day Unvalidated DL/SSN Form. Give it to the CJ.

If ID , V , P , A , T , or wrong data are on the label, flip
this card and start at the top. Return here if so directed.

If voter is Unaffiliated, ask voter for party choice, repeat choice aloud, cross out other ballot styles.
Ask voter to
- Verify label information.
- Read the "I certify that" items.
- Sign by the big X if all is OK.
You then initial ATV in Official's Initials box.
Send voter to the Ballot Table with the ATV.

ID really means HAVA ID. Do this block if ID is on the label. Otherwise go to the "Finish Handling Exceptions" block.

Ask the voter to present a valid form of HAVA ID. Then perform the HAVA ID-required check using the Notice to Voters with No Acceptable ID pollbook page.
If the check passes, mark only the ATV Section A box that specifies the type of HAVA ID the voter showed. This effectively deletes the ID exception, as if it had never been on the ATV.
If the check fails, mark the [ No ID ] and [ HAVA ID ] boxes in Section A of the ATV. The ID exception will remain, requiring Help Table intervention, as indicated by these two marked boxes.
Go to the "Finish Handling Exceptions" block.

Continue below if any exception conditions remain.
If none remain, just return to Step 3 on the card front.

Mark the ATV box(es) to indicate the reason(s) for sending the voter to the Help Table. Some boxes may already have been marked, but maybe not those for
V, A, or T. If those exceptions exist, mark the boxes.
For a P, mark the [ Other ] box; write "P" in the field.
If the [ Address on label is wrong ] ATV box or the [ Party dispute ] ATV box is marked, X out any ballot style printed on the label.
DO NOT have the voter sign the ATV.
DO NOT complete the Official's Initials box.
Send the voter to the Help Table with the ATV.
