Voting a Provisional Ballot (2008)

- 1 Give voter Provisional Voting Instructions and
Provisional Ballot Envelope
- Instruct voter NOT to detach top section from envelope
- 1 Ask voter to complete and sign top section of envelope
(Registration/Update form)
- Point out the often-overlooked citizenship and age section

- 2 Help voter select exception reason in bottom section of envelope
- 2 Ask voter to complete and sign bottom section of envelope

- Mark ballot with BIC pen -- fill ovals
- Seal ballot in provisional envelope
- Return envelope to Help Table
- Do NOT put ballot in scanner
- 9 When voter returns with envelope, give him/her Voter Call-in Instruction form
- 10 Paper-clip any supporting material, e.g., ATV, to outside of voter's sealed envelope
- 10 Place sealed envelope (with any attachments) in Provisional Ballot red plastic bag
