Actions for Remaining Proposals and Comments is an organized list of the remaining proposals and comments that I made at our 11/21/23 meeting and in related emails. I have tried to group them per the actions required. The files linked to in that web page are exactly the same files linked to in the Reference section below. For each item below, the proposal being made is the first file listed. Additionally, for reference, some items also contain links to earlier versions. All my files have change dates in them; those change dates are also listed beside each file below.

Reference

• Registration Table Flow Chart
  • 04/28/24  Proposal to replace the "Registration Table Flow Chart" in the RTQG.
  • 04/21/24  "Processing ATVs and Pollbook Labels" is referenced by the flowchart.
• Ballot Styles Packing Checklist
  • 03/25/24  Proposal for a Ballot Styles Packing Checklist to replace the Ballot Styles Packing List for Weekend Supply Pickup.  The intent is to make checking easier when there are many ballot styles for a precinct, e.g., in a primary election.
• Bags and Reconciliation Form
  • 11/17/23  Proposal to clarify a packing-up procedure -- text for 2023 CJPG page 33.
    (CJ 2024.v.2 fixed some of the problems. This is my proposal to fix them all.)
• Early Pack-Up Items
  • 01/16/24  Proposal to possibly handle some pack-up items early when there are only provisional voters left to process. This is just meant to be a reminder list for me, not something to be published in any main BOE document.
    (In the 1/16/24 version I reordered the items in the first section, moving the bottom eight to the top of the list. They are the easiest to do and are the least problematic if a provisional voter required a new ballot instead of the one first issued. Otherwise it is the same as the 11/27/23 version.)
• Lists of elected officials   (Just my observations on an annoyance.)

  In these two formats, contrast the amount of data provided and the ability to print a compact summary.  Each format has its advantages and disadvantages.

• Information mainly for Precinct 19-19 voters
  (By 1/13/24 I had received no BOE Staff comments on the 11/22/23 changes noted below (softened words, etc.), so I assume they are acceptable. Accordingly, I have updated my website for 19-19.htm and the curbside handout.)

• Proposed ATV   (The main comments in my proposed ATV have now been handled by the BOE ATV 2024.v.3.)
  (In November you had sent me ATV 2024.v.3 to review. I see ATV 2024.v.2 is the form now published in the Manual and on the Precinct Officials website. Except for spacing, v.2 and v.3 seem to be the same, unless I have missed something.)

• Overlapping printing of tapes with other processing
  (In the 1/16/24 version I changed some spacing and highlighting to improve printing. Otherwise it is exactly the same as the 11/27/23 version I had provided here in November for the BOE Staff.  See Actions for Remaining Proposals and Comments under "BOE Staff Provided Feedback" for the resolution.)

  (In the 1/3/24 version I added steps for primary elections.  See the Change History for other changes.  See Actions for Remaining Proposals and Comments under "BOE Staff Provided Feedback" for the resolution.)
  • 04/23/24  Uses [name, address, photo ID] order, my definite preference over the NCSBE order
